The Quill project

Recently, members of HTANI attended a Teaching Peace and Reconciliation programme workshop hosted by the Quill project at Hillsborough Castle. Quill is a Digital Humanities research project, based at Pembroke College, Oxford, which is working to archive and visually represent the negotiation process of state constitutions. Alongside partners across the UK, US, Ireland, and Australia, Quill’s research promotes a better understanding of the documents that underpin peace and democracy.

The workshop brought together teachers, archivists, museum directors, civil servants, and academics, to coproduce materials for teaching the Northern Ireland peace process in schools. The Quill team are keen to use their research to support Northern Ireland teachers. They aim to organise events, create lesson plans/materials and publish podcast interviews with members of the network.

If you are interested in finding out more about the project or taking part fill in the Quill form or read their a LinkedIn post with details.
