HTANI are pleased to invite you to a Year 14 History event in Belfast on 26th February 2026.
A level teachers and students are invited to Strathearn School to hear presentations on the topics of the Partition of Ireland and the American Presidency.
Date: Thursday 26th February 2026
Time: 1.00 -3.30pm
Location: Strathearn School, Belmont Road, Belfast, BT4 2AU
This event will be hosted by Strathearn School, Belmont Road; A-level students will be able to listen to two expert speakers discuss two of CCEA’s most popular A2 History topics.
- Dr Russell Rees will give a presentation on the Partition of Ireland 1910-1925
- Stewart Bredin (co-author of the American Presidency 1901-2000) will give a presentation on the US Presidency in the 20th Century.
The cost for this event is £2 per student and will be payable on arrival at the event. Advance booking via email is essential to reserve places.

Metro bus services 3F and 3G serve the school. Parking is available at the school for staff only, school mini-buses and buses carrying students attending this event.
