The History Teachers’ Association NI , are holding our inaugural Annual General Meeting on:
Thursday 26th October, 2017, at the
5.30pm - 8.00pm.
There are three VERY important reasons to attend:
1. History education will only be as strong as its advocates. To advance the Association, it’s imperative that we move towards a membership elected committee who can protect, promote, and advance history education;
2. The session will also be informative! The guest speaker will be Dan McCall (a former History ETI inspector), who will lead a talk entitled: "Maude's Story: using personal history in the classroom to open windows on tensions in Ireland in the years leading to partition."
3. Without a significant teacher/educator presence at the AGM, the legitimacy and democratic nature of the association will be at stake. So, please, for both the present and the future, the HTANI needs you at the AGM!
Please feel free to pass this information on to any other
