Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) are inviting teachers across the UK to help shape an exciting new Castles Project that will be led by the Tower of London.
HRP plan to mark the 1000th anniversary of William the Conqueror’s birth by providing free classroom resources, workshops, free teacher CPD and a national schools’ competition during the 2027–28 school year. They are asking for input from Northern Ireland teachers to ensure the programme supports history teaching in local schools.

Your responses will help shape:
• Free teaching resources linked to the curriculum
• School visits and local castle partnerships
• Teacher CPD and enrichment activities
• A national schools’ competition
