1921 Essay Competition Terms and Conditions
1 Only one essay entry per student per school in this competition. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
Entries must be submitted as a word document with a maximum of 2,500 words in length.
Students must be studying either History and/or Government and Politics at A Level in any school or college in Northern Ireland.to be eligible to enter the competition.
2 Students should submit their completed essay to their teachers electronically, with a copy of the Student Submission Form which should be signed by both student and teacher. All students must have their entries confirmed by their teacher as being their own work for this competition. Teachers will be asked to submit the student submission form for successful candidates only.
3 Teachers should collate their student essays, fill in the Teacher Submission Form and submit the completed form and essays to historyteachersni@gmail.com before the deadline of 17.00hrs on Friday 21st May 2021. Teachers must send all their student entries in accordance with the terms as set out in the teacher entry forms.
4 Entries must be received by 17.00hrs on Friday 21st May 2021 and all decisions of the judging panel are final.

5 Successful essays will be short listed and assessed by an academic panel and the successful winning candidates will be contacted by HTANI through their school/teacher only.

6 Prize winners will be invited along with their subject teacher to be awarded their prizes at an event in June 2021.
